Headline measure
The share of a state's workers in occupations with task exposure of 65 or more. Task exposure is the importance-weighted average of an occupation's O*NET task scores, from 0 to 100, where higher means more of the work is AI-doable.
AI Ready Score
0.35 x (100 minus task exposure) + 0.25 x skill durability + 0.20 x role trajectory + 0.20 x adjacency breadth, weighted by each occupation's state employment. It varies only a few points across states, which is why the share of exposed workers leads.
